Lauwersmeer and Lauwersoog

Nearby ‘De Grutte Earen’ flows the Lauwers River, which partly forms the border between the two Dutch provinces of Groningen and Friesland. If you follow the river north, it will take you to Lauwersmeer National ParkThis UNESCO world heritage site and nature reserve can be reached easily by car from ‘De Grutte Earen’ within 30 minutes. half a kilometer closer than the station in Grijpskerk. Both stations have free parking and are also easily accessible by bike.
